Support Living

What is the Support Living Program?
It is a program for clients in the early recovery phase. Professional staff assists clients in learning to live in community with others to promote long-term recovery. Clients live in apartments or houses and follow specific rules and guidelines established to promote recovery:

  • Provide evidence of completion of a treatment program or current active status in an intensive outpatient treatment program
  • Maintain daily engagement in work, school, or a volunteer program
  • Maintain regular participation in 12-step work and meetings
  • Observe established curfews
  • Attend house peer meetings
  • Attend continuing care groups
  • Provide alcohol/drug screenings on staff request
  • Participate in supportive living activity planning
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of living quarters

Who should consider enrolling in the Support Living program?

  • Clients that do not have a stable or supportive living situation available after treatment
  • Clients that may require continued structure to help resist a return to old ways of thinking and behaving
  • Clients engaged in extended care programs
  • Clients engaged in intensive outpatient treatment who need living quarters nearby
